Lords of War - Opening Crawl
The last remnants of the Jedi Order have been extinguished and purged from galactic memory. Fourteen years have passed since the fall of the Republic. Fear grips the galaxy as refugees flee and star systems fall to the march of the Imperial war machine.
Beyond the core worlds distant governments assert control over their territories and criminal organizations construct vast strongholds in the mid- and outer-rim sectors. Enterprising mercenary and smuggler guilds prosper and Bounty Hunter's Guild factions have united under a strong new guild master.
As the shadow of the Emperor's ambition stretches across the galaxy the seeds of rebellion grow. Nar Shadda is regaining its prominence as the center of illicit commerce in the galaxy but the hundred-year truce between the Hutt clans has erupted into violence. Fueled by their greed and vast wealth the Hutts threaten to plunge the Rim Worlds into war...
