Turns out the human's name is Bomak. He runs a local cargo delivery office for a company called UPC. We decided we could track down some more information on who wants us dead if we can figure out who hired him for his delivery. Plus I'm still curious about those creatures that wiped out the station and it's possible they were cargo delivered on that ship.
The Jawa seems quite adept at smuggling. I brought up we might want to keep a low profile if we fly anywhere! What with a Hutt cartel trying to murder us and all. Anyway the Jawa tells the captain to attach to a large ship, power off, and once we hit atmosphere, freefall and finally power up without ever having been detected. Honestly, I think the Jawa just wanted to scurry back into one of the turrets with the expectation we'd have an encounter with the large ship or otherwise get caught. In a completely unexpected turn of events, however, the captain pulled off some incredibly fancy flying. Smooth sailing all the way in.
We were able to dock at the UPC private docking bay and after the Jawa powered up the door, we found Bomak's predecessors in uh... retirement. I snatched up the three security badges so I could doctor up some new ones for us. While I was doing that, the captain started undressing the 30-year-old corpses. It was pretty creepy, but he acted like the clothes would still be useful. It was probably a waste of time because when Bomak's assistant asked who we were, I said we were the new hires. He promptly helped us get signed up, so now it's actually official.
We decided to lay low for a week or so. The captain was able to get the ship outfitted with a sensor jammer. The jawa requisitioned a ton of repair parts for his "service droid." Bomak mostly moped around watching his budget get drained. Turns out he gets paid out of the budget, so it's understandable. I think I've perfected the IDs, but I'll compare them to the real ones I imagine will be made for us.
I think the captain picked up on it because he promised Bomak he'd do the only job that had come in for free. We're about to see how well that sensor jammer works. Maybe the shields too.
