Bad news. They're after us. They sent two starfighter's to take us out before we could meet up with Vashj to complete the job. Who's "they," you ask? Great question. We don't really know, but we can make some educated guesses. It's likely a Hutt Cartel who had data on the station which coincidentally exploded. I can't stress enough that it wasn't out fault, but we're definitely going to get blamed for it.
More bad news. We have to lay low for a while. Vashj won't even work with us because we've got too much heat on us. Maybe on him too though. He was safely hiding on a pleasure barge, but we learned his main "office" had been completely blown up. I took note of the guards being extra nervous. When we boarded the barge they were cautions not to allow any explosives on board the ship.
I tried to feed Vashj all the info I could get out of the new guy on the crew of the ship he rode in on. Hopefully that redirects some of angst that's apparently out to get us. Still... I'm not completely certain Vashj didn't try to take us out after we met with him. His escort started shooting at us, saying "we have to make it look good." Fortunately I had already done some on-the-fly emergency jump calculations and got us out of there almost instantly.
Oh, yeah! The new guy! Did I mention before now? Come to think of it, I keep forgetting what he said his name was. It's not really important. Anyway, we saved him from the station before it blew up. So far he's been pretty useless, but the Jawa seems to like having him around. He did manage to get us off the station when the power went out. Without his odd-shaped, but admittedly powerful cutting tool, we never would have made it through the doors in time. I mean maybe it would have exploded, but we would have been eaten alive by those... things before that had happened.
