Vonniss' Memoirs: ENTRY 18

The audio clip begins with a brief moment of silence followed by a long exhale. "Well, Keek and I are just hanging out on the bridge of our new ship, the Quiet Storm. We're waiting to rendezvous with the captain. Currently he, the Jawa, and the HK are negotiating with Grakkus the Hutt for our lives and hopefully some extra credits! We'll definitely need them if we're going to get this thing repaired. There's extensive hull damage, plenty of unoccupied hardpoints--which the captain won't be able to sleep until we've got a plan to fill them with serious armaments--not to mention a hallway with some serious marring from a GRENADE, right Keek?"

"Keek didn't want to throw!" A voice a short distance from the recording quickly retorts. "You say Keek yes, do it Keek!"

Vonniss recoils and waves a hand in front of his face. "Bantha breath! Seriously, why does it always smell like somebody shit themselves when you try to speak?! I thought you had stun grenades like a sane being! Anyway, we lived and they learned that you were crazy enough to blow us all up as long as you got them too. Maybe that will play to our advantage to keep them in line. It worked for Ras; he had clearly lost it a while back."

There's another pause and some equipment moves around nearby. Vonniss' voice starts up again, this time from behind his helmet. "Anyway, I guess they must trust me quite a bit, leaving me with the ship and all. It would be a pretty simple thing to just fly off with the new crew under my thumb. I bet they would. After all, pirate crews aren't known for avoiding munity."

"Mutiny!" Pained groans can be heard in the background.

"No, I'm just talking about how--" Vonniss begins, but is quickly interrupted by the strained voice in the background.

"I've been hit!" The voice continues between labored breaths, "there's two of 'em left!"

"Why are you still here, Keek?"

"Keek go to armory. You take to medical."

"Go with Keek! The armory is next to medical. I'm not leaving the bridge."

The audio cuts out.
