The Jawa poked around on the freighter's captain, managing to use a medpac to save her! We thought we were only in time to save the human female, but the captain is a Duros; huge win! Maybe. Turns out both ladies are Vashj's indentured servants, so not sure I'll get much opportunity to collect on any... appreciation... in the future.
We learned there were more droids on the ship causing problems. Some were trying to rig the ship to scuttle it into the planet. The captain sent the Jawa to engineering to take care of a single droid bent on getting sublight operational or something. Meanwhile, the captain and I went back to the ship to take care of the one in the cockpit. Turns out there were two and I was able to take them both out pretty easily with the turret. Oh, but not before learning that the nasty little thing had spent a lot of time there. The smell lingered. Still.
On the way back, we picked up a new, looping message from that Rodian trap outpost. This one showed the place overrun by some... I don't even know how to describe it. Anima--no, not like a Jawa... creatures! Anyway, lost cause, but very interesting. I'll have to do some sort of search on the clip I saved to find out what these are and how to avoid 'em.
I met Vashj. He's an umm... Twi'lek. He's the guy the captain got the job from. He seemed a bit unhinged. At first I thought it was just the trust issues about his cargo, but nope! Still, he paid us as agreed and we got out pronto. He made a big show of paying us the full amount because we did such a good job. I kept a low profile and the captain happily took credit for everything I did. Fine by me! Nothin' to see here, Vashj. Just a warm body hoping to stay that way. On the way out, I'm pretty sure he murdered some members of his team, but we didn't look back. Poor girls. It would be a miracle if they survived to see the end of their contract.
