Vonniss' Memoirs: ENTRY 8

Well, we went back. I was completely on board when the captain said it was too dangerous, but Vashj wanted data from the infested station and the captain changed his tune almost as fast as I calculated the jumps to get us there. So off we go on the second suicide mission in a row from the same fixer. I have a sneaking suspicion "do or die" has never been more literal. Turn down the job: dead. Fail the job: dead. And you aren't even guaranteed not to die if you succeed. I feel like the captain should lose Vashj's contact details.

Anyway, we dock with the station and I start picking up what turns out to be swarms of life signs. The whole place was getting chewed apart by energy-starved... geometry? Hopefully the data we pulled out of there will have some answers. There aren't any left on that station after the things chewed up the cores and the place exploded. AND FOR THE RECORD: I am totally not responsible for the place going poof. Why does this keep happening to me?

But things are looking up now that we're back on the ship again. The Jawa is completely distracted by the new guy we picked up on the way out of the latest death trap. You'd think this human was made of droid parts.
