Captains Log for Shut up and Hold My Correlian Ale.

Log Entry 2:

Well for once I remembered to update this log as a proper captain should...It has a been a interesting last week so I waste the time trying to review all that for the next poor fool who captains this ship.  We were on our way to a known hideout of Ras Endo to see if we can find any intel on the whereabouts of him or his small armada.  Hopefully he left some goodies for us there as well.  On our jump in hyperspace we experienced some issues (again) with the power relays.  I am guessing the strain of the new shields and the ion cannon put some stress on the old girls power plant.  Goregut worked some of his magic and installed the 3 spares we had and did some bypassing to get us up and running again.  I need to remember to buy some spares and have someone take a look at the failing ones next time we are in a proper space port.  We can only bypass so many times before the shitter stops flushing.  

When we dropped into the system with the coordinates we had we saw the double asteroid ring that protects Ras' lair.  I dont remember it being so daunting but with some great (lucky) piloting by me and some excellent sensor work by Vonis we were able to get to the planet.  We noticed a primitive dwelling built into one of the extremely large trees and an underwater structure.  After discussing with the crew we decided to take a look at the dwelling first and used our (semi) useful UPC colors to get a response and they opened their ....door...window...dome..whatever it is.  Once it opened a crazy old malnourished man with long white hair came out and was barely understandable.  We gave him some food and he brought his uhhh wife fish lady monkey thing out.  Something in his appearance was nagging my brain and it hit me righ then.  It was Kenth.  My mentor.  My friend.  He had obviously been left here to die by Ras for his part in our plan.  He is delirious and crazy.  I wonder if there is anything left of the man I admired left in there.  I guess we will find out.  One thing I think is certain.  Ras hasnt been here in about a year because he wouldnt have left Kenth alive that long if he had.
