Vonniss' Memoirs: ENTRY 14

I plotted a great course to Ras' last-known hideout. When we popped out of hyperspace, it was almost right on top of the most dense asteroid belt I could have imagined. I was able to feed the captain an enormous amount of data so he could more easily identify threats.

Still, we put the captain's piloting skills to the test getting through the asteroid field. We made it unscathed, but not unshaken. Only because Bomak wanted to contribute. He called a shot on a huge obstruction, letting us know we didn't have to worry about it. I don't think we should have trusted him on the turret and he certainly waited until the last possible moment to break the thing apart!

We made it. And I sure am glad we put our ship and lives at risk to find some deranged old man who had been mating with a questionably-sentient aquatic creature. Three days of hyperspace travel and wasted fuel. At least I had time to rearrange the future medical bay and armory while we travelled.
